Q. Can I rent for any period I choose?
A. ABSOLUTELY. You can rent for a day, a week, a month, several months or even a year.
Q. What about if I want to lease?

Q. What types of equipment do you rent (and lease)?
A. Our extensive inventory spans the gamut. We have a wide variety of:
- PCs & Macs
- Notebooks
- Servers (including SUN products)

- Flat screen displays and CRT monitors

Q. Do you carry Apple products?
A. SURE THING. We carry PowerMacs, iMacs, PowerBooks and more.
Q. I am going to make an important presentation, can you supply me with the right equipment to make it more effective?
A. CERTAINLY. You can rent an LCD projector and laptop for example. Or perhaps a desktop PC with a 20" flat panel would meet your needs. There are many choices.
Q. Can Electro Rent supply software with a rental (or lease)?
A. YES. We can pre-load operating systems, popular applications products such as Microsoft Office and even a custom software image you provide.
Q. I need the equipment immediately. Can you make that happen?
A. We have one of the largest inventories in the industry and distribution centers and offices located across the U.S. and Canada, so we can get the equipment to you quickly.
Q. Do I have to go somewhere to pick up the equipment?
A. NO, although if you are near a center and wish to pickup the equipment in many cases you can. We will normally ship or deliver the equipment. We can also set-up/install the equipment as necessary.
Q. What happens if something goes wrong with the equipment we have rented?
A. We'll take care of it. Your rental includes a host of customer and technical support services. We will either repair or replace any rental unit that is malfunctioning which cannot be fixed over the phone. Call 800-455-5445.
Q. What operating system does the computer come with?
A. The computer can be loaded with any one of several different operating systems depending upon your need.
Q. Is shipping included in the cost of the rental?
A. NO. Since shipping costs vary by destination, they must be calculated based on destination and the weight of the equipment being rented and then added to the basic rental rate for the product(s).
Q. When I rent a desktop computer, does it come with a monitor
A. NO. But you can add one on at very affordable rates. We carry monitors and displays ranging
in size from 15" CRTs to 50" plasmas. We have several sizes of flat panels also.
Q. Does the notebook I rent include a modem?
A. MOST DO and usually either a CD or DVD drive also, but it depends on the model being rented.
Q. Do you have a rent-to-own program?
A. YES. Speak to one of our knowledgeable sales professionals to learn more. We also offer long-term 12 to 36-month leases with various buyout options.
Q. How quickly can I get the equipment?
A. Depending on where you are located and availability, we offer rapid shipping and delivery service throughout the country.
Q. What is included with the rental?
A. Depends upon the equipment type and model. For desktop rentals as an example, the keyboard and mouse are included. We can also custom configure most units to your specifications.
Q. Do you offer technical support?
A. We offer both customer and technical support Monday-Friday. Call 800-455-5445 or visit our online Customer Care Center which offers a number of customer and technical assistance options.
Q. Does the computer come with Internet access?
A. NO. In some cases, the unit will come with a modem. You must use an ISP of your choosing to access the Internet.
Q. Where is Electro Rent located?

Q. What is the minimum rental period?
A. We offer daily, weekly and monthly rentals.
Q. Do you rent (or lease) to individual consumers?
A. NO. We only rent and lease our technology products to businesses. We do however sell our quality used computer products to both businesses and consumers.
Q. Do you offer insurance on the equipment that you rent?
A. NO. We do not offer insurance. You are responsible for the equipment while you are renting it.
Q. If I rent a printer or plotter, does it come with toner or ink?
A. Toner does not come with laser printer rentals. Toner can however be purchased as part of the rental.
Q. When does the rental billing period begin? End?
A. Your rental term billing begins when we ship or deliver the product(s) to you or when you pick the product(s) up at one of our facilities. The rental billing period ends once the term of the rental agreement has been met and the equipment has been returned (physically received at our office) to us.
Q. Is there a minimum rental charge?
A. YES. The minimum rental charge regardless of term is $100.

Q. What exactly is an operating lease?
A. An operating lease is an agreement to make payments for a specific amount of time for the right to use the equipment owned by the leasing company. Essentially it's a long-term rental agreement.
Q. Why is Electro Rent better than the competition?
A. Leasing is more than just a low fixed payment. Leasing is about service. Service that you can rely on. Service that saves you time, resources and money. Our knowledgeable sales team has extensive expertise in the leasing of computer products. They work hard to develop an understanding of your company and your specific needs. Q. How long can the lease term be?
A. Electro Rent offers lease terms that can range from 12 to 36 months.
Q. How can I lease equipment from Electro Rent?

Q. How long does the leasing process take?
A. Leases can be initiated quickly. Key documents are sent to you after we approve your credit. The equipment you wish to lease will then be processed and shipped to you. Call for further details.
Q. What kinds of equipment can be leased?

Q. What are my buy-out options?
A. For Operating Leases, we offer a Fair Market Value buy-out option. For more information on a FMV buy-out, call us. For Finance Leases one can select a $1 buy-out or 10% option.
Q. What is the monthly rate?
A. Rates are determined based on equipment cost, term selected and other variables. Call us to discuss your particular needs.
Q. Are lease payments a tax write off?
A. Depends on the lease. Typically, the IRS will allow you to write off 100% of your lease payment on a true operating/FMV lease. Consult your accountant for specific applicability to your business circumstance.
Q. How long do I have to be in business?
A. Our lease programs do not have a specific minimum years in business criteria.
Q. What is required to qualify for a lease?
A. A lease agreement document will be drafted and must be signed. Financial information is normally required for most lease transactions.
Q. How much of an advanced investment is required?
A. Often, no advanced payment is required. But credit issues can affect this.
Q. What about adding software?
A. Yes. Some software and other soft costs can be added to the lease. Software-only leases are not available.
Q. What about adding equipment at a later date?
A. YES on Operating Leases. Simple add-on programs are available throughout the term of the lease.

A. We provide a wide array of services and also offer a number of optional services.
Next Business Day System Replacement
If a hardware failure occurs, a replacement system and a pre-addressed return waybill will be sent via next-day air freight, thus reducing user downtime.
Equipment Acquisition
Procurement of single or multi-vendor hardware solutions is coordinated by Electro Rent to ensure availability of product.
Deployment
Delivery and distribution logistics are handled by Electro Rent to ensure the equipment arrives in working condition and on time.
Configuration & Testing
Experienced technicians configure all equipment prior to delivery so it will arrive working and ready to use.
Custom Software Image Load
Customer-supplied image loads can be installed on each system and configured for the specific end user before delivery.
Toll-Free Hardware Technical Support
When hardware problems arise, end users are supported by Electro Rent's experienced technical support organization throughout the term of the agreement.

Q. Some people say that leasing is too expensive. Is this true?
A. Leasing is a competitive method of using funds. It is easier, faster and more convenient than borrowing money. It allows your business to grow by freeing up working capital for general expenses, inventory and any unforeseen emergencies. Some companies use leasing as a way to finance their equipment acquisitions.
Q. How long will it take to get credit approval?
A. Processing of your credit application will begin immediately upon submittal. The credit application may be obtained on-line (DOWNLOAD CREDIT APPLICATION BY
CLICKING HERE) or you may receive one via fax or email. Simply return it to us once it is completed. Once we have received all the necessary information, a credit decision will be provided to you shortly.
Q. What factors are used to determine credit worthiness?
A. Generally, our credit criteria requires us to review a variety of factors about your company/organization including things like time in business, references (from bank and trades), credit rating (from various credit bureaus) and credit profile.
Q. What if I decide to finance additional equipment or upgrade the equipment?
A. If you have an operating lease, as your business grows and needs change, you can add equipment at any point during the lease term or upgrade to new technology at the end in the initial term.
Q. What kinds of lease terms are available?
A. A variety of leasing terms are available that allow you to tailor your payment to fit your month-to-month cash flow requirements. Lease terms usually range from 12 to 36 months. There are also various end-of-lease options.
Q. Why should I lease?
A. Leasing provides a great deal of flexibility in how you manage your equipment acquisitions. Whether you are a small or large company, leasing allows you to structure equipment acquisition to best suit your needs. Electro Rent only leases and rents our computer products to businesses.
Q. What about sales/use tax?
A. Taxes are not included as part of the monthly lease payment. Sale and use tax will be added to the invoice as a separate line item based on delivery location. Depending on equipment location, property tax may also be applicable.
Q. Who can lease?
A. Virtually any company or organization can lease. We do not lease equipment to individuals for personal use.
